[Hiring] Technical Assistance to MoPSE for the Development of the 2026 Education Sector Performance Report @AGORA

Role Description

The consultant will provide technical support to MoPSE in the preparation of the 2026 Education Sector Performance Report (ESPR) and in the technical preparation, documentation, and reporting of the 2026 Joint Sector Review (JSR). The consultant will work closely with MoPSE’s Planning and Research Department, UNICEF, relevant education sector stakeholders, and the designated JSR meeting facilitator.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in one of the following fields: Education, Social Sciences, and other related fields.
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in a development context.

Requirements

• Sound knowledge of the planning and policy-making processes in the public sector or government.
• Ability to engage and work with a variety of stakeholders (Government, development partners, civil society).
• Good communication and facilitation skills, with fluency in spoken and written English.
• Analytical, with good computer and data analysis skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to support multi-disciplinary teams in a multi-cultural environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English, with good report writing skills.
• Knowledge of Shona and/or Ndebele is an added advantage.

Desirables

• Familiarity with the Zimbabwean education context and previous experience in the same field.
