Role Description

The Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the course "Foundations and Issues in Second Language Education" (EDSL 500 001) for the Fall 2026 term.

• Marking and grading.
• Preparing course materials.
• Assisting students’ learning.
• Leading discussions.
• Project supervision.
• Providing feedback to students on presentations and/or coursework.
• Attending classes (Online Asynchronous).

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate (master’s or PhD) student enrolled in a graduate program at McGill University for the Fall 2026 term.
• Familiarity with course content.
• English, spoken and written.
• French, spoken and written, is an asset.
• Bilingual is an asset.

Requirements

• Hourly rate: $37.34/hr (will become $38.46/hr as of August 2026).
• Effective dates of TA position: Start: August 17, 2026; End: December 18, 2026.
• Application Deadline: June 1, 2026.
