Role Description

Position: Teacher, Social Studies

Location: 7480 Broadway, Bldg 2, Denver, CO 80221 - Global Leadership Academy

Pay Range: $63,301 - $128,842 Annual Salary

Calendar: 190 Days

Reports To: School Director/Principal

School Design Overview:

• Global Leadership Academy is a 9-12 Internationally focused school on the Broadway Campus.
• Students receive daily rigorous instruction, with access to AP classes, a Design Studio, and concurrent enrollment.
• Students can participate in GLA's Business Management Pathway to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Focus on building project management and leadership skills through digital marketing, customer relationship management, sales, and small business management projects.
• Students are valued as leaders and empowered to improve their school community through restorative justice practices.

Qualifications

• Colorado teaching license with an appropriate Social Studies endorsement required.
• Additional endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education preferred, or willingness to pursue endorsement or equivalent coursework.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of Colorado Model Content Standards and Grade Level Expectations in Reading, Writing & Communications.
• Desire to grow professionally, be reflective, and seek out new opportunities.
• Experience using multiple formative and summative assessments to determine students' proficiency and provide feedback.
• Experience with effective instructional practices, including inquiry-based instruction.
• Experience designing and/or collaborating on standards-based learning experiences.
• Experience with developing problem-based instruction and project-based learning.
• Required participation in Mapleton's Secondary Constructing Institute.

Training
