Role Description

Sask DLC requires a temporary full-time Trades Teacher. Assignment may include Autobody, Building Trades, or Mechanical and Automotive. This temporary position ends on January 29, 2027. The campus location will be determined by the principal residence of the successful candidate. The grade level will be determined by enrolment.

Sask DLC online teachers deliver high-quality instruction and assessment for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 courses. This position involves the delivery of Saskatchewan Grade 10-12 Trades curricula through asynchronous or synchronous learning models. Online teachers possess a strong understanding of digital platforms such as Moodle and Microsoft Teams and are committed to fostering an inclusive and engaging online learning environment. The online teacher will also collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to:

• Plan and track student progress
• Communicate with parents
• Integrate First Nations and Métis perspectives into curriculum delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching certification in Saskatchewan
• Valid Saskatchewan teaching certificate with Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board (SPTRB)
• Membership with the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation (STF)

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practices
• Knowledge and experience integrating Indigenous content, perspectives, and cultural practices into the curriculum
• Familiarity with assessment tools and strategies for online learning
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues in a remote context
• Passion for fostering inclusive, culturally relevant learning experiences for all students
