Role Description
As a Substitute Teacher with Stellar Virtualβs Texas-based online schools, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity in our virtual learning environment when regular instructors are unavailable. This position will deliver engaging and effective online instruction, follow established lesson plans, and maintain a positive and supportive virtual classroom atmosphere.

Step in as a substitute instructor for virtual classes when regular teachers are absent.

Review and follow provided lesson plans, to ensure a smooth continuation of learning.

Deliver live or pre-recorded virtual lessons using the designated platform and tools.

Provide clear instructions, explanations, and feedback to students in a supportive manner.

Facilitate class discussions, answer questions, and encourage student engagement.

Manage virtual classroom behavior and maintain a positive and respectful learning environment.

Assess and evaluate student work, providing timely feedback to promote academic growth.

Collaborate with the Academic team to ensure seamless integration of substitute teaching.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff as needed.

Follow school policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
Qualifications

Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and online teaching tools.

Strong technology skills and the ability to navigate various educational software.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with students effectively.

Adaptable and flexible to accommodate varying grade levels and subject areas.

Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive and orderly environment.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students' learning and growth.
Requirements

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.

A valid, unrestricted teaching certificate (with an endorsement in K-12, K-5, K-8, 4-8, 9-12, or equivalent) in Texas is required. All teaching certificates must remain active and be renewed timely to maintain active employment and not set to expire in the next 90 days.
