[Hiring] Speech Language Pathologist @Pacific Coast Academy

Role Description

Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director of Student Services, the employee will provide tiered speech intervention support to general education students as part of Pacific Coast Academy’s MTSS program. Responsibilities include:

• Providing universal support and conducting speech screenings to identify students’ levels of need.
• Delivering targeted and intensive direct intervention support.
• Maintaining a caseload of students receiving intervention support.
• Participating in the SST process, including making recommendations for special education evaluations and drafting corresponding initial assessment plans.

Primary job responsibilities will be performed virtually. As an employee of Pacific Coast Academy, the employee is expected to follow the responsibilities, policies, and procedures outlined in the PCA Personnel Handbook.

The selected candidate must reside in California.

Qualifications

• Valid California certification (Preferred)
• Two years of professional experience in the United States (Preferred)
• Certificate of Clearance issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) (Required)
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and/or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) (Required)
• Valid California driver’s license (Required)

• Speech-Language Pathologists employed by a charter school are required to obtain a Certificate of Clearance (CoC) through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
