As a Skills Coach for the Team Leader/Supervisor Level 3 Apprenticeship, you will:

Support emerging leaders to develop core management skills.

Coach learners to build confidence in key leadership areas such as communication, problem‑solving, decision‑making, performance management, and team motivation.

Help learners apply leadership models and management tools to real workplace situations.

Encourage reflective practice and support learners to develop their own leadership style.

Deliver engaging online workshops and group learning.

Facilitate interactive online workshops that bring leadership concepts to life through discussion, scenarios, and practical activities.

Create inclusive, psychologically safe learning environments where new managers feel comfortable exploring challenges and sharing experiences.

Adapt delivery to suit learners from a wide range of industries and backgrounds.

Provide personalised coaching and structured learner support.

Build strong, supportive relationships with learners through monthly one‑to‑one coaching sessions.
-
Develop individual learning plans that integrate on‑the‑job and off‑the‑job learning.

Conduct regular tripartite reviews with learners and line managers to ensure alignment and progress.
-
Prepare learners for end‑point assessment through structured practice, feedback, and confidence‑building support.
-
Monitor progress and ensure a high‑quality learner experience.
-
Track learner progress using internal systems, taking timely action to keep learners on track.

Maintain accurate, same‑day records and ensure learners meet off‑the‑job learning requirements.

Identify learners at risk of falling behind and implement tailored re‑engagement strategies.
-
Collaborate and contribute to continuous improvement.
-
Work closely with Curriculum, Digital, and Operations colleagues to ensure a seamless learner journey.

Participate in standardisation meetings and share insights to strengthen coaching practice.

Engage in ongoing professional development across leadership, coaching, and digital learning.
Qualifications

Experience in people management, leadership development, coaching, or mentoring.
-
Strong understanding of first‑line management responsibilities, including communication, performance management, problem‑solving, and team leadership.

Ability to coach and support adult learners from diverse professional backgrounds.
-
Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship‑building skills.
-
Minimum GCSE A*–C (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
Requirements

Experience delivering apprenticeship standards or professional development programmes.
-
Teaching or assessing qualification (AET, DET, CAVA, PGCE).
-
Coaching qualification or membership of a relevant professional body.
-
Experience working with digital learning tools or virtual learning environments.
