Role Description
This position is responsible for the operational excellence of our Systems and Service teams in both the US and Canada. This includes the assessment of technician skills and the creation, preparation, and delivery of Technical Training material for Employees. The position is also responsible for being a subject matter expert (SME) for the company locations within the region of coverage.

Support technicians on questions while in the field

Create SOPs, templates, test sheets, and reports

Prepare technicians for certification exams

Act as mentors in apprentice programs

Represent the organization at trade shows
-
Build relationships with technical schools

Report to the Director of Operational Excellence

Travel approximately 35%β40% of the time
Qualifications
-
A Bachelorβs degree in a related field or equivalent experience
-
At least 8 years of relevant field experience
-
NETA level 3 or 4 certification required (or equivalent certification recognized by an industry organization)

Experience with the NFPA70E Standard
-
Proven expertise in common Power Systems topics
-
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Experience presenting to groups

Experience training others
-
Ability to accommodate and respond to unconventional training requests

Must be able to work independently

Passion for learning and teaching others

Proven experience in building training programs from the ground up

Intermediate skill level with PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Excel

Strong organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to adjust to changes in workflow and meet deadlines

Demonstrated strong sense of urgency and ownership of their process

Must demonstrate a team player mindset

Willingness to travel within designated territory regularly
Requirements

Evaluate best practices in the region and determine standardization plan

Work with counterparts and company SMEs to create field SOPs and standardized templates
-
Lead process improvement initiatives

Summarize reporting and develop recommendations to improve quality and processes

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
-
Evaluate the skills of all technicians in designated territory
-
Develop and maintain a comprehensive catalog of technical training material
-
Deliver engaging training materials through hands-on, live, and virtual training
-
Act as a SME for field technicians providing just-in-time guidance
-
Follow and achieve compliance, accreditation, and business goals
-
Act as a liaison to technical schools in the territory
-
Attend trade shows and present on topics relevant to expertise
-
Develop, support, evaluate, and monitor contract vendor training providers
-
