Role Description
We are looking to appoint an experienced online courses specialist to lead the development and scaling of our online courses to support the teaching of computing, computer science, and AI literacy.
Since we launched our first course in 2016, over 400,000 educators have taken one of our online courses to help them develop their subject knowledge, pedagogy, and confidence to teach computing. As part of our ambitious global strategy, we want to support millions more educators all over the world with high-quality, free online courses that enable them to confidently teach young people about computing and AI.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the design, production, and growth of our portfolio of online courses, working closely with colleagues from across the organisation, including product, learning, marketing, and impact measurement.
We have developed our own purpose-built, self-hosted platform for online courses, called the Training Hub, which means that we are able to invest in features that meet the needs of our audience and provide unlimited access to courses at no cost to the end user.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience designing and producing online courses that support adult learning for global audiences. Our primary audience is teachers and other educators, so experience working with that audience will be a distinct advantage. You will have experience of every aspect of course design and development, including user engagement and research, production, moderation, marketing, and evaluation.
You will directly manage a small, highly skilled team and will work with colleagues across a wide range of disciplines. You should be an experienced manager and natural collaborator.
We work hard to make sure that the Foundation is a place where everyone is supported to do the best work of their careers. We have a flexible and collaborative approach to all aspects of our work. If you're the right person for the job, weβll make it work for you, and you can be confident that youβll be joining an exceptional team of people who care about our mission and each other.
