Role Description

In this Senior Lecturer role, the ideal candidate will be motivated to foster strong student engagement and focus on lecturing research within our PGDBA and MBA programmes through a student-centric approach. The ideal candidate will bring academic expertise and practical experience, contributing to developing and delivering high-quality educational content. In addition to lecturing responsibilities, the Senior Lecturer will oversee administrative tasks and programme oversight management responsibilities to ensure student success in both programmes.

Our PGDBA and MBA programme aims to challenge students’ views of self, others, and the world as we create an environment where they can hone their leadership skills to address the unique challenges facing South African and African leaders in business and other contexts. The ideal candidate should thus deeply care about our context and support students on their own unique journeys.

Qualifications

• A DBA or PhD in Management or a related field.
• Teaching experience at the postgraduate level OR practical business management or leadership experience.
• A track record of postgraduate supervision, research and publications in relevant academic journals.

Company Description

This role carries an institution-wide portfolio-responsibility (20%) alongside an academic appointment in the Business School (80%).
