[Hiring] Senior Learning & Development Specialist @Veracity Insurance Solutions, LLC

Role Description

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Learning and Development Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, this remote role partners with leaders, subject matter experts, and employees to assess learning and performance needs, recommend effective solutions, and lead complex initiatives from discovery through evaluation.

Success in this role looks like:

• Diagnosing the root cause of a performance challenge, not just fulfilling training requests.
• Leading complex work with limited oversight.
• Strengthening the team’s practice through coaching and cross-training.

The ideal candidate is comfortable sharing expertise, learning from colleagues, and building credible knowledge of Veracity’s insurance business.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of progressive experience in learning and development, talent development, organizational learning, instructional design, training, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience conducting needs analysis or performance assessment and translating business needs into practical learning and performance solutions.
• Experience independently leading learning initiatives or programs from discovery through implementation and follow-up.
• Strong understanding of adult-learning principles, instructional-design methodologies, and evaluation practices.
• Strong facilitation, communication, writing, consulting, project-management, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, work through ambiguity, challenge assumptions constructively, and recommend solutions beyond formal training when appropriate.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, reviewing, knowledge sharing, or cross-training with peers or less-experienced practitioners.
• Comfort learning and using modern learning technology and AI-enabled tools.
• Willingness to build strong working knowledge of Veracity’s insurance business and employee audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience with learning management systems, Articulate 360 or similar authoring tools, Confluence or other knowledge platforms, learning analytics, or AI-supported learning workflows (preferred).
• Experience supporting change/readiness initiatives, leadership or manager development, or cross-functional learning programs (preferred).
• Insurance-industry experience and/or a Property & Casualty (P&C) license is helpful but not required at hire (preferred).

Compensation Range: $75k/yr - $90k/yr
