We are looking for people who share our passion for helping New Yorkers live happy, healthy, and independent lives to support CDPAP consumers and their personal assistants across a broad spectrum of services and functions.

• Collaborate with learning specialists and SMEs to create and enhance existing content.
• Exhibit technical writing skills to develop content for both internal and external audiences.
• Develop courses and materials for diverse audiences and various accessibility needs.
• Demonstrate creativity when producing training materials including videos, simulations, job aids, eLearnings, etc.
• Use adult learning theories and exercise all parts of ADDIE model or similar.
• Meet stated deadlines for work and partner with Director to communicate progress and handling of roadblocks.
• Take ownership of content developed including implementing feedback and continuous improvements.
• Use authoring tools like Articulate Rise, Storyline, Camtasia and more to create engaging learning experiences.
• Mentor other Instructional Designers (ID) and teammates in design techniques and other ID skills.
• Assist with content review of learning materials and provide concise appropriate feedback.
• Serve as project lead for Instructional Design including some needs assessment and project management.
• Assist operations teams with learning solutions and support on process clarity, gaps and education.
• Create customer-facing materials.

Qualifications

• Understanding of adult learning principles and learner accessibility challenges.
• Experience with partnering with SMEs and Operations leaders to provide solutions to learning concerns and skill gaps.
• Experience using both Performance and learner-based evidence and feedback for curriculum development needs.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to work under varying, often strict deadlines.
• Demonstrates an intense curiosity and commitment to constantly learn along with an affinity to workforce diversity.
• Virtual facilitation experience preferred – combined with professional and technical skills.
• Exposure to Learning Management Systems (preferably Workday) and authoring tools (Articulate Rise, Storyline, Camtasia etc.).
• Instructional video creation experience is required.
• Experience in implementing new software, acquisitions, customer contracts or operational functions.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suites 365, Zoom, other office/class tools and ID authoring tools.
• High Emotional Intelligence, professional composure and collaborative spirit.
• Knowledge of commonly used training concepts (ADDIE, SAM, Design Thinking).
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Experience leading, mentoring or coaching others.

Requirements

• BA / BS in Education, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience creating all types of training materials and videos.
• 3+ years’ experience partnering with leaders and SMEs on learning related projects.
• 1+ year experience in a supervisory, coach or mentor role.
• 1+ year experience facilitating training events virtually preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills required.
• Previous experience as an LMS Admin; Workday preferred.

Benefits

• $86,000 - $100,000 annual salary.
