Role Description

The Academy for Classical Education is a public charter school that opened in August of 2014. The school emphasizes the importance of making the right educational choices for children, advocating for rigorous academic standards, order, discipline, and high expectations for student work and behavior.

• Maintain accurate records and school files, including electronic databases.
• Provide student data management support: maintain student files, enrollments, withdrawals, and route transfer requests to appropriate destinations to ensure all student information requirements comply with district policy and procedures.
• Use software and technology effectively, including related student databases.
• Input data accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare reports including Excel spreadsheets.
• Demonstrate and exercise independent judgment, and initiate independent action in fulfillment of assigned duties and contribute to the overall effective and efficient operation of the office.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of office software and technology systems.
• Respond to inquiries from parents and staff in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with department and district staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent office skills using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Google Applications and other key computer programs.
• Demonstrated organizational and data-management skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and manage a fast-paced office environment.
• Familiarity with data management systems a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and attention to detail a must.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Associates Degree a plus.
• Strong work ethic.
