Role Description

Franklin University is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, flexible, and self-motivated mathematics and statistics tutor to join the Learning Commons team. The successful candidate will:

• Communicate clearly
• Support students effectively
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the subjects they tutor

Candidates must be able to provide live, online tutoring in a synchronous environment and create an engaging, supportive learning experience for students.

Hours vary based on tutoring demand. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Note: We are not able to hire candidates from New York, California, Massachusetts, Montana, and the City of Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics or a related field
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in:
• Pre-algebra
• Fundamental algebra
• College algebra
• Applied calculus
• Statistics

Requirements

• Ability to provide live, online tutoring in a synchronous environment
• Evening and weekend availability
