Role Description

This course will cover the different systems that interact to form the client experience. Students will evaluate the different types of personal and social systems that impact clients in a holistic and inclusive manner. Students will also evaluate their own life systems and discuss how they may impact their experiences with the clients.

Reporting Relationships:

• Adjunct Faculty will report to an Academic Dean.

Responsibilities

• Communicate both verbally and in writing with students regarding feedback on student performance consistently throughout the course and as required by the Faculty Expectations.
• Be available for students via phone, email, and for individual appointments as needed for questions and academic assistance.
• Respond to Dean/University staff regarding performance, student issues/concerns, or items needed for faculty file/accreditation needs in a timely manner.
• Exhibit appropriate behavior, language, professional communication, demeanor, and dress at all times.

• Ensure clarity, relevance, and connection of class session objectives to course performance objectives.
• Organize classroom and efficiently use class time.
• Demonstrate mastery and ability to articulate and relate to students.
• Play an integral role in the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment for their area of expertise.
• Support students in collaboration with their Dean.
• Provide student support and outreach to help students achieve learning objectives.
• Attend faculty meetings, events, programmatic meetings, and committee work as designated by the Dean.
• Complete a minimum of six (6) Rasmussen Educational Units (REUs) annually or two (2) REUs per quarter for each quarter taught.

Qualifications

• Teaching experience preferred (Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field of study).
• Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with students, leadership, and peers.
• Excellent written communication and strong verbal communication skills in the English language.
• Online adjuncts will need regular access to a computer with the following system requirements:
• Windows XP or greater.
• Microsoft Office 2010.
• An internet connection.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Counseling or Psychology related field, Criminal Justice, Human Services, or Social Work.
• Preferred active LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC, HSCP, or PsyD licensure or certification.
• 3+ years experience in Counseling or Psychology related field, Criminal Justice System, Human Services, Social Services or Social Work.
• Must be able to provide professional licenses/certifications required for specialized schools (Health Sciences, Nursing) before teaching; license must be active and unencumbered.
• Must be able to provide official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution before teaching.

Location

• This position is remote but not available to CO residents.
