Role Description
The Lead Faculty is a member of the faculty (with rank appropriate to the educational and professional background of the individual) who also holds an administrative appointment related to managing the faculty within a specific academic program or set of academic programs. With accountability for coaching and managing faculty, the Lead Faculty exemplifies teaching and student support strategies, while upholding faculty performance standards and student engagement policies.
The Lead Faculty provides and champions education through Colorado Technical University's Professional Learning Model that assists program graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the marketplace.

Normal course load: teach 2 courses (8 to 12 quarter hours) each quarter, totaling 8 courses (32 to 48 quarter hours) per academic year.

Focus on faculty coaching, managing, and administrative responsibilities.

Successfully complete a minimum of 8 hours of training and professional development each academic year.
Qualifications

Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent) required.

Terminal degree from a regionally accredited institution in higher education accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent) preferred.

3 to 5 years of experience working with adult learners in support areas.

5 years teaching experience at the collegiate level, with diverse online, blended, and campus-based experiences a plus.

5 years of professional experience in an organizational setting relevant to Colorado Technical University's programs preferred.

1 to 3 years of progressive experience managing or coordinating faculty teams required.

Experience working with a variety of functional areas.
