[Hiring] National Consultant/Trainer on Gender Equality Issues @UN Women

Role Description

UN Women in Georgia supports state and non-state partners towards the achievement of substantive gender equality. The National Consultants/Trainers will be responsible for developing and conducting trainings on gender equality and women’s empowerment topics, including but not limited to:

• Key concepts of gender inequality and gender-based discrimination
• National and international legal and policy frameworks upholding women’s rights
• The Women, Peace and Security agenda
• Disaster risk reduction and climate resilience
• Strengthening women’s leadership and agency
• Different forms of violence against women and best practices for tackling these
• Key elements of women’s economic empowerment

The consultants/trainers will work under the supervision of UN Women Country Representative and Deputy Country Representative, and will be supported by Project Assistant.

Qualifications

• University degree (Master’s) in gender/women’s studies, human rights, sociology, law, international development or related field
• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, law, human rights with two additional years of relevant working experience may be considered in lieu of the Master’s degree

Requirements

• At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in gender equality and women’s rights
• At least five (5) years of experience delivering trainings on gender issues to various stakeholders
• At least five (5) years of proven experience in developing training manuals and modules
• Sound understanding of interactive learning methods and adult-learning techniques
• Fluency in Georgian and good knowledge of English
