Role Description
Our tutors act as coaches and mentors, not just instructors, supporting each learner’s progress with care and purpose.
As a tutor, you’ll play a key role in every child’s learning journey by:
-
Delivering lessons that last:
Using our smart learning tool, Compass, you’ll deliver tailored sessions where you facilitate learning through questioning, scaffolding, and stretching.
-
Building meaningful relationships:
With a 1:6 ratio, you’ll get to know each child and create a safe, inspiring environment where they can take risks and develop a lifelong love of learning.
-
Driving academic progress:
Support members as they work through the national curriculum, entrance exams, and GCSE preparation, celebrating milestones and successes along the way.
You'll thrive as an Explore Learning tutor if you:
-
Are confident leading sessions with small groups (1:6), inspiring children to engage in their learning, using positive behaviour management strategies, and consistently prioritising their safety and wellbeing.
-
Feel comfortable supporting children aged 4–16 across the national curriculum, including 11+ entrance exams and GCSE content.
-
Are committed to building meaningful, long-term relationships, providing the consistency and stability that helps children thrive.

You must be age 17 or over and have the right to work in the UK.

-
You must have a working laptop with reliable wifi to hold your sessions.
