Role Description
As an Instructor at Simplilearn, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of ethical hacking and cybersecurity professionals. Specifically, you will deliver content from Ec-Council's Certified Ethical Hacker (CEHv13) Certification Training Course, designed to equip learners with the skills required to identify vulnerabilities, assess security risks, and protect organizational systems against cyber threats. This is a part-time, remote role. All sessions are delivered synchronously and 100% online.

Conduct live online classes and mentor learners through hands-on labs, simulations, and real-world attack scenarios.

Provide professional guidance based on your industry experience.

Bridge the gap between theoretical cybersecurity concepts and practical ethical hacking techniques.

Guide learners across the ethical hacking lifecycle, including reconnaissance, scanning, enumeration, exploitation, post-exploitation, and reporting.

Create a positive, professional, and inclusive learning environment.

Serve as a role model for students and as an ambassador for our brand.

Qualifications

8+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, with a strong focus on ethical hacking, penetration testing, red teaming, or security testing.

Proven expertise in CEH Practical domains, including:
-
Network and system exploitation
-
Web application attacks (OWASP Top 10)

Malware analysis basics
-
Privilege escalation and lateral movement
-
Post-exploitation techniques and reporting
-
Extensive hands-on experience with tools such as Nmap, Metasploit, Burp Suite, SQLmap, Hydra, Wireshark, Nessus, Nikto, and Kali Linux.

Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows internals, networking protocols, and common misconfigurations.

Experience conducting or mentoring hands-on labs, CTF-style exercises, and red-team simulations.

Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK mapping, vulnerability scoring (CVSS), and penetration testing methodologies.

Understanding of cloud and hybrid environments, with exposure to basic attack vectors in AWS and/or Azure.

CEH certification is mandatory; CEH Practical, OSCP, GPEN, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.

Prior training, mentoring, or lab facilitation experience, especially in live online environments (preferred but not mandatory).

Ability to clearly explain attack logic, tool usage, and mitigation strategies in a structured, learner-friendly manner.

Strong communication skills, patience, and a learner-first mindset.

High ethical standards, professionalism, and a strong emphasis on responsible disclosure and safe hacking practices.
Requirements

The expected compensation for this role is $50 per hour for candidates who fulfill the qualifications listed.
