Role Description
The Department of Biological Sciences at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL invites applications for Instructor – Anatomy and Physiology. This is a full-time, 12-month faculty Instructor position. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of continued renewal depending on available funding. The Instructor will teach fully online courses and engage in teaching, service, and related academic activities consistent with a full-time faculty appointment.

Participation in academic advising and other student support activities may be included.

The Instructor may serve on department, college, and university committees.

Contribute to curriculum or program development.
Online Teaching and Course Development
-
In collaboration with the Center for Online and Continuing Education (COCE), the Instructor will eDesign and maintain online courses.

Assist other faculty with course eDesign.
-
Redesign courses in alignment with best practices.
-
Work toward Quality Matters recognition.
-
Complete FAU’s 8-week self-paced Teaching Online: Pedagogy and Practice (TOPP) course during the first semester.
Qualifications
-
Earned a Masters or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline such as Biology, Anatomy, Integrated Biology, or Physiology by the time of appointment.

Ph.D. is preferred.

Clear promise of excellent instructional capacity.
