Role Description
Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for an Instructional Design and Development Coordinator to join our team! The Instructional Design and Development Coordinator is responsible for the design and development of learning activities, assignments, assessments, and instructional approaches in the development of online and hybrid (blended) training for Trillium Members, Providers, and Staff. Additionally, this position is responsible for the gathering, analysis, implementation, security, integration, training, maintenance, and end-user support of the My Learning Campus - Learning Management System. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design principles, adult learning theory, educational technologies, multimedia design, and/or learning analytics.
On a typical day, you might:

Configure, operate, maintain, and support the My Learning Campus LMS, ensuring performance, scalability, usability, and data integrity.

Serve as the primary point of contact for LMS support, coordinating with vendors, internal teams, and users to troubleshoot system access, course deployment issues, and technical challenges.

Manage day-to-day LMS functions including creating and maintaining courses, events, sessions, curricula, assignments, evaluations, and assessments.

Monitor system performance, user activity, and data quality; recommend improvements and enhancements based on analytics and system behavior.

Develop and maintain system integrations between the LMS and other platforms.

Ensure configuration decisions consider cross-functional impacts on workflows, reporting, and user experience.

Design, develop, and refine digital learning content using LMS capabilities, instructional design methodologies, and adult learning principles to support knowledge development, skill building, and performance improvement.

Analyze existing learning materials, curricula, and resources to improve learner engagement, accessibility, and alignment with intended learning outcomes.

Create instructional graphics, user interfaces, and digital learning assets in collaboration with content development resources to enhance the overall learner experience.
Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, curriculum development, or training program creation; OR

Associate’s degree and four (4) years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, curriculum development, or training program creation; OR

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, curriculum development, or training program creation; OR
-
Equivalent combination of higher education/experience.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must reside within North Carolina.

Must be able to travel within catchment as required.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Informational Technology, and Business Administration. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience in Project Implementation; IT application programming or data and systems integration; Adobe Creative Suite; administration of a Learning Management System (LMS) platform and experience in developing reports within a Learning Management System.
