[Hiring] Independent End Point Assessor @NCFE

Role Description

We’re seeking Independent End Point Assessors (IEPAs) to join our End Point Assessment team to deliver the Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner and Level 5 Children, Young People and Families Manager standard. If you have a background in children’s homes, supporting looked-after children, or working as a Residential Support Worker, Senior Residential Support Worker, or Registered Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity to use your sector expertise to support apprentices in demonstrating their skills.

You’ll play a vital role in assessing competence in key areas such as:

• Safeguarding
• Child development
• Trauma-informed practice
• Behaviour support
• Multi-agency working

How you’ll make an impact:

• Delivering EPA in line with the Children, Young People and Families Practitioner and Children, Young People and Families Manager standard (residential childcare)
• Utilising NCFE Apprenticeship Services EPA platform to record EPAs and interact with apprentices
• Attending standardisation events to ensure quality, compliance, and consistency
• Communicating with apprentices, ITP’s and employers on EPA and grading

Qualifications

• A recognised Assessor qualification
• At least 3 years’ occupational competence within residential childcare / children’s homes
• Experience supporting children in care and working within safeguarding frameworks
• Strong report-writing skills
• Flexibility to travel for face-to-face assessments
• Good IT skills
• A full, valid driving licence as travel is essential
