[Hiring] Global Cancer Support Intern @American Chemical Society

Role Description

This is a remote, home-based internship. Full time students from all US geographies will be considered. Our 2026 Summer internship program is an 8-week Paid Internship that runs from June 1st – July 24th, at 37.5 hours weekly.

The intern will work alongside the Global Learning & Development Manager to help create and update training materials, including:

• Videos
• eLearning modules
• Virtual or instructor-led training (VILT/ILT) content

This role offers hands-on experience in learning design, digital content development, and global training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Education, Communications, Media, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in learning design, training development, and adult learning concepts
• Basic familiarity with digital learning formats such as eLearning, video, and virtual or instructor-led training (VILT/ILT)
• Comfortable working with common productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva)
• Willingness to learn new software applications, tools, and learning technologies
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage time effectively (self-starter mindset)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with team members and accept feedback
• Creative mindset with an interest in improving learning experiences
• Prior coursework, projects, or internships related to content development or training is a plus but not required

Requirements

• Must be available for entirety of 8-week program: June 1st – July 24th, 2026, at 37.5 hours per week
• Full-time student, if you are an undergraduate student, you have completed your freshman year of college
• Have a minimum of a B average (cumulative 3.0 on 4.0 scale)
• Plan to continue your education in the following term/semester
• Upload a resume upon application submission
• Note: an internship assignment may coincide with your last term/trimester as a full-time student, but the internship must be disengaged upon graduation
