[Hiring] Freelance Portuguese Teacher @Busuu

Role Description

As a Freelance Online Portuguese Teacher at Busuu, you’ll play a key role in helping students learn Portuguese effectively and confidently. On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will likely include:

• Planning, preparing, and teaching online lessons (45 minutes each) for corporate clients.
• Delivering private lessons that include both language teaching and personalised coaching:
• Conducting needs analyses
• Assessing levels
• Creating bespoke learning paths
• Checking progress during lesson time
• Setting clear goals

Qualifications

• C2 Level of Portuguese
• Valid teaching certificate such as TEFL/CELTA or related university degrees
• Experience in online teaching and providing 1:1 coaching or personalised learning support
• Fluency in additional languages:
• B1 or above in English
• Bonus: Speaking more than two languages

Requirements

• Comfortable teaching: presentation skills, negotiations, business email etiquette, meeting management, multicultural communication, etc.
• Excellent communication skills to engage and teach students
• High-Speed Internet
• Modern Laptop / PC with a microphone and camera
• Must comply with local freelance/contractor regulations
