Role Description

The Special Education Teacher is a state certified teacher responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. Responsibilities include:

• Providing instruction, support, and guidance.
• Managing the learning process and focusing on students’ individual needs as defined by each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
• Building relationships with families, students, and learning coaches to ensure all students are progressing successfully through the program.
• Ensuring all special education and related services are provided as determined by the IEP team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 0-1 year of related professional experience.
• Active state teaching license.
• Missouri Special Education Teaching Certification required.

Requirements

• Must reside in Missouri.
• Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week.
• Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during work hours.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school.
• Ability to clear required background check.

Benefits

• Compensation based on education, experience, qualifications, and position’s work location.
• Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the salary range.
