[Hiring] Content Intern, Chemistry @Khan Academy

Role Description

Our US Content team includes the curriculum developers who design and develop the courses, lessons, videos, articles, and practice questions on Khan Academy. As a Content Team Intern, you’ll have the chance to work side-by-side with our team’s Content Creators to develop, launch, and upgrade content on courses in your area of expertise.

• Own and drive a project that gives you end-to-end experience with all aspects of Khan Academy’s content creation cycle.
• Share your project through a culminating presentation at the close of the internship experience.
• Be part of an Intern Learning Community that provides opportunities to learn from colleagues across the organization.
• Explore ways to integrate our AI-powered tutor, Khanmigo, into our content.
• Leave your internship with a deeper understanding of content creation in an educational technology company.

Qualifications

• Passion for education and instructional design.
• Deep knowledge and expertise in Chemistry.
• 2+ years of experience teaching Chemistry at the K-12 or university level.
• Ability to design learning experiences that are standards-aligned and lead to positive learning outcomes.
• Commitment to equity and delivering engaging learning experiences to all learners.

Requirements

• Ability to connect day-to-day work to larger departmental, school, or district-wide goals.
• Adept project manager who can break complex tasks into manageable pieces.
• Kind, collaborative, and strong communicator.
• Proven cross-cultural competency skills.
• Curiosity about careers in content creation within the educational technology space.
• Available for an 8-week full-time remote internship program.
