Role Description

Constructor University invites applications for the following position, to be filled ideally by Fall 2027:

Assistant Professor of Marketing (f/m/d)

(Full-time; 38,5h/week, tenure-track)
School of Business, Social and Decision Sciences

Your Responsibilities:

• Support research and teaching activities in the field of Marketing.
• Teach courses (for example Digital Marketing).
• Support and advise students on their studies.
• Supervise Bachelor, Master’s, and PhD theses and research projects.

Possible areas of interest are:

• Design and teach innovative, contemporary modules in Marketing at undergraduate and master’s levels, including within MBA, MA, and MSc programs.
• Engage, advise, and mentor students; supervise Bachelor’s, Master’s theses, and doctoral research.
• Build and sustain an active research agenda with publications in leading peer-reviewed journals.
• Establish a research group and pursue external funding from national and international sources.
• Contribute to curriculum development, new program initiatives, and departmental service.

The university is highly supportive of junior faculty, providing both formal and informal mentoring, administrative support, as well as a flexible budget for establishing an internationally visible research group.

Qualifications

• PhD in Marketing or a closely related field.
• Evidence of high-quality research and a strong publication pipeline.
• Ability to design and teach core Marketing courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Expertise in areas such as Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Consumer Behavior, AI in Marketing, or related fields is particularly welcome.
• Readiness to pursue external research funding and contribute to collaborative research projects.
• Ability and willingness to supervise Bachelor’s and Master’s theses and contribute to doctoral supervision.
• Willingness to work and teach in a multicultural, English-speaking academic environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong intercultural competence.
