Role Description

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach remotely for the World Languages/Cultures program.

Elementary Korean I (KORN 111): An introduction to foundational Korean language and culture. The aim is to develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and typing skills and use high-frequency vocabulary and key expressions to interact in familiar settings. Topics include:

• Hangeul (Korean alphabet)
• Greetings
• Self-introductions
• Locations
• Cultural norms

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Korean, Korean language pedagogy, Korean linguistics, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Three (3) years of experience teaching the Korean language.
• Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.

• If selected, candidates with international degrees may be required to submit a translation/degree evaluation from a NACES approved vendor.
