[Hiring] Adjunct Faculty – CPSYCH 2433: Cognitive Psychology @Lesley University

Role Description

Lesley University’s Department of Psychology+ is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach: CPSYC 2433 - Cognitive Psychology; Fall 2026 Term II; Remote, Asynchronous.

This course provides a critical review of theories, methods, and findings in human information processing, learning, and thinking. Topics include:

• Verbal learning
• Memory
• Attention
• Perception
• Problem solving
• Creativity

The course also examines how these cognitive processes function during altered states of awareness, such as sleep, dreams, and hypnosis.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field (required); PhD or terminal degree (preferred)
• Demonstrated success teaching at the undergraduate level
• Commitment to student-centered, inclusive, and equitable teaching practices
• Experience in constructivist, inquiry-based learning
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
