Role Description

As a Lead Engineer - DevOps, you will:

• Collaborate closely with the Product Engineering team to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
• Participate in end-to-end DevOps initiatives, addressing real-world challenges in network operations.
• Work effectively with cross-functional teams to plan, estimate, and execute deliverables.
• Apply industry-relevant estimation techniques to support project planning and execution.
• Demonstrate strong team collaboration and ownership while driving outcomes.
• Continuously learn and adopt new technologies to stay current with industry trends.
• Leverage network domain expertise (preferred) to enhance solution design and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Linux/Unix administration (Redhat/Centos preferred).
• Strong coding skills in Python combined with problem-solving skills.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud.
• In-depth knowledge of Docker containers and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Helm charts and terraform scripting.
• Proficient in troubleshooting skills with proven abilities in resolving complex technical issues.
• Hands-on experience with CI and CD tools (Jenkins, Nexus, Gitlab, etc.).
• Experience in working with microservices environments.
• Strong inclination for automation and test-driven development.
• Strong work ethic and ability to own projects/components.

Requirements

• Experience with any of the web development frameworks (Flask/Django/Bottle) and experience with restful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Configuration Management tools like Ansible/Puppet.
• Experience in VMware/OpenStack/KVM/Proxmox platform management is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Istio, Amazon EKS, and GKE.
• Working knowledge on NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Working knowledge of ELK, Kibana, Grafana, and HashiCorp Vault/Consul.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
