[Hiring] Team Lead - DevOps @Simform

Role Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Team Lead DevOps to join our DevOps team. This role requires designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure for medium-sized multi-tier deployments, and establishing best practices for deployment processes across development teams. The ideal candidate will have expertise in DevOps tools, cloud services, and container orchestration, along with leadership skills to drive efficient DevOps practices.

• Designed, implemented, and maintained CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, and Azure DevOps across AWS, Azure, and GCP for both web and mobile technologies.
• Implemented Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to automate and standardize environment provisioning.
• Conducted applied research, prototyping, and development to explore and adopt emerging DevOps practices and technologies.
• Defined, configured, and maintained distributed, multi-tier cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshot and resolved deployment issues in development, staging, and production environments, often under tight deadlines.
• Managed software releases, maintenance windows, and environment configurations to ensure consistency and availability across the SDLC.
• Promoted a culture of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and best practices within cross-functional teams.
• Exhibited flexibility and innovation by continuously seeking opportunities to improve development and deployment workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Docker Compose, and cloud-native container technologies.
• Intermediate proficiency in Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
• Practical experience with Azure DevOps or AWS CodePipeline for automated deployments.
• Strong understanding of web server configurations, including IIS, Windows Server, Apache, and Nginx.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Node.js and Python.
• Experience with version control systems including Git, SVN, and TFS.
• Familiarity with various build tools for both web and mobile application development.
• Experience working with multiple IDEs, including Visual Studio, VS Code, and Eclipse, along with relevant extensions and plugins.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Background and hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Proven experience in managing team operations and providing technical leadership.
• Possession of relevant certifications in DevOps, Cloud Computing, or CI/CD tools (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
