Role Description
The Equiniti Group is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Operations Analyst to help us deploy and manage our Global Infrastructure hosted in multiple data centres and cloud.
Responsibilities include:
- Proactively maintain and develop all operational infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service.
- Proactively monitor system performance and capacity planning.
- Manage Linux systems: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.
- Manage Microsoft Infrastructures (Windows Server, Active Directory, RDS) and Hypervisor technology (Hyper-V and VMware).
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, certificates, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware.
- Awareness of vulnerability management systems and security remediation.
- Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP.
- Expert in Powershell, Shell, Perl, and/or Python, terraform scripting.
- Strong grasp on configuration management tools, such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, etc.
- Public cloud skills and awareness (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) will be an added advantage, particularly with infrastructure as code skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills: Able to solve authentication issues, troubleshoot connectivity issues with servers and certificates.
- Experience with integrating applications and providing support related to infrastructure.
- Enhance and improve existing infrastructure through automation and reporting.
- Take handoff of problems from SME leads and work them independently to root cause.
- Own Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for Infrastructure issues.
- Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
- Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Relevant and current certifications will be considered an advantage.
- Process-oriented approach.
- Desire to learn and ability to implement learnings swiftly.
- Good team player, highly motivated, and ambitious.
- Ability to manage work as per the targets agreed.
- Ability to work in a virtual and remote environment.
Requirements
- Willing to work in Night shift / US Business Hours / On-Call as required.
