[Hiring] Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer @MAIA

Role Description

We are looking for someone ready to take full ownership of platform engineering for the first time at company scale, as our first dedicated Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer (f/m/x). This is a step up role for someone who has spent the last few years owning infrastructure inside a small engineering team and is now ready to be the person who runs the entire platform area independently.

• Make MAIA's platform reliable, secure, auditable, and developer-friendly.
• Take full ownership of our infrastructure: Hetzner first, AWS, GCP, and Azure for selected services.
• Own our CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and deployment workflows.
• Build, improve and maintain our observability stack (Grafana, Loki, Sentry, PostHog).
• Operate and improve our self-hosted Postgres setup.
• Implement and maintain our security fundamentals: IAM, secrets management, TLS, vulnerability scanning, and patch management.

Qualifications

• Solid experience running production systems on Linux servers.
• Strong working knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose in production.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL operations experience.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Working experience with an observability stack such as Grafana and Loki.
• Strong security fundamentals.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
