[Hiring] Senior DevOps Engineer II @Curriculum Associates

Role Description

This position is part of the expanding DevOps group that combines teamwork, innovation, work/life balance, and autonomy. You will contribute to the evolution of our AWS cloud infrastructure that supports Curriculum Associates’ i-Ready SaaS application as well as internal systems.

The impact you’ll have:

• Develop and advance our (“shift left”) capabilities in Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment
• Build, operate, scale, and troubleshoot the Curriculum Associates SaaS infrastructure in an Agile environment
• Debug Maven and Webpack builds
• Enhance our monitoring tools, build infrastructure, and source code management
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure our infrastructure and applications work together seamlessly
• Support other teams’ build and infrastructure needs on an as needed basis
• Write tools for systems and infrastructure automation
• Provide operations coverage as part of an on-call rotation

Qualifications

• Comfort with working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
• General analysis/problem solving and ability to develop creative solutions
• Lead and provide mentorship to team members
• AWS Cloud technology experience

Requirements

• 6+ years of DevOps experience
• Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes
• Infrastructure as Code approaches: Puppet (or Chef/Ansible/Salt) and Terraform (or CloudFormation) experience
• Experience with languages such as Python/Go
• Experience with MySQL, Java/Tomcat/Apache, Splunk, and open-source tools for systems monitoring/management
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, and Nexus
• Experience using ECS or other container orchestrators
• Experience operating a 24/7 production web application
• Amazon Web Services experience (EC2, RDS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, DynamoDB)
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience in a technical capacity

Travel

• Travel to company offices 2-3 times a year

Pay Range

This role’s range is $93,250 - $166,250. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan.
