Role Description

Sovereign Cloud is T-Systems' cloud offering for clients with high sovereignty needs. Clients in regulated sectors such as healthcare and the public sector are put in complete charge of their data – on an open-source platform, hosted in Europe. Our focus is to build new product – Sovereign Cloud within T-systems international cloud portfolio. DevOps engineer participates in the design and implementation of Kubernetes-based Platform as a Service offering to Sovereign Cloud.

As Senior DevOps Engineer for Sovereign Cloud, you will co-create next-generation cloud solutions, focusing on EU healthcare, security, and the public sector area. Responsibilities include:

• Design and implement a set of sovereignty controls and measures, including encryption and identity management.
• Control function over relevant parts of the Sovereign Cloud.
• Responsible for the entire lifecycle of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines and platform as Code approaches.
• Define automated configuration management, release management, build, test, and deployment activities.
• Provide prototypes and concepts for further automation of assigned technology.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Design, develop, test, and implement infrastructure for CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
• Manage source code, configuration management, release management, build, and deployment activities.
• Setup and manage integration with partner applications.
• Conduct performance analyses and tuning as well as error analyses and troubleshooting.
• Consult and implement new innovative technologies to satisfy innovation strategy.
• Create concepts for further automation of services, processes, and/or operating models.
• Directly support the project teams in development, quality assurance, and planning and implementation of product releases.
• Continuously optimize the development and system infrastructure.
• Provide consulting to project teams on areas of expertise, including Prototypes/Proof of Concept solutions.
• Research and develop in assigned technology, determine business requirements, propose changes, and prepare implementation plans.

Qualifications

• Secondary education in Information Technologies – Master
• Experience with ICT System – 4 years
• Experience with Scripting (Bash, Python) – Expert
• Experience with Linux Operating System – Expert
• Experience with OTC / AWS / Azure – Intermediate
• Experience with Docker – Expert
• Experience with Kubernetes – Advanced (CKA, CKAD or CKS certified)
• Experience with Git – Expert
• Experience with Jenkins / GitLab – Advanced
• Experience with Maven / Gradle – Intermediate
• Experience with Ansible / Terraform / Puppet – Advanced
• Experience with ELK / Prometheus / Icinga / Jaeger / Grafana – Advanced
• Experience with Networking - Expert
• Experience with Security - Advanced
• Communicative, team player with analytical thinking, training skills, and presentation skills
• English – Upper intermediate (B2)
• Experience with Agile Methodology, Scrum, and SAFe
• Certifications: Multiple Kubernetes certifications, Multiple Public Cloud DevOps Certifications (Multiple platforms)

Salary

Final salary is negotiable. We are offering a base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of the candidate. In addition to base salary, we provide a variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 2900 € /brutto.
