Role Description
This is a remote position located in the United Kingdom. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be embedded within the Non-Employee Risk Management team to build and maintain resilient, secure, and efficient SaaS applications.
- Partner with the Non-Employee Risk Management Application Teams to build and maintain resilient, secure, and efficient SaaS applications that meet established SLAs.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, management, and incident response.
- Monitor site stability and performance and troubleshoot service issues.
- Automate the scaling infrastructure to meet rapidly increasing demand.
- Manage cross-functional requirements working with Engineering, Product, and Centralized DevOps teams to maintain core platform standards while supporting rapid service development.
- Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production.
- Develop and improve operational practices and procedures.
- Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance, such as ISO27001, SOC1, SOC2, IRAP, C5, etc.
- Must be willing to be part of an on-call rotation.
- Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
- Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts.
- Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available environment for a SaaS or cloud service provider.
- 5+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure environments; AWS strongly preferred.
- Release automation (GitHub Actions preferred) with CI/CD pipelines.
- Linux administration, and Linux debugging experience; RHCE or similar desired.
- Experience using programming languages (Python, Ruby on Rails) to manage cloud environments at scale.
- Experience in MongoDB, SQL, HashiStack, Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of system and networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to operate in an agile environment that is rapidly evolving.
- Excellent communication skills; English fluency of C1 or higher preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or other technical discipline, or equivalent experience is preferred, but not required.
