Role Description
We are looking for a very skilled Dev Ops engineer who uses AI tools every day. You will join the Dev Ops team and work alongside the existing teams (Engineering and IT) to make sure our infrastructure continues to run smoothly. You will have a lot of flexibility in terms of the technologies you use daily, and you will have a say in how those technologies should be used going forward.
-
Much of Dev Ops work suits AI-assisted development: infrastructure as code, pipelines, scripts, runbooks, and the first pass of troubleshooting.
-
Use AI tools such as Claude Code or equivalent to deliver it quickly while keeping production safe.
-
Direct AI agents, review what they produce, and own the result.
-
Make judgements about when to trust the tool and when not to, balancing speed with caution.
-
Be a team player and enjoy collaborating with others to find the best solution to a problem.
-
Have a service-oriented mindset and take ownership of tasks through to completion.
-
Have a systematic and logical approach to solving problems and enjoy teaching and mentoring others.
How we use AI in Dev Ops
-
Use AI tools such as Claude Code or equivalent to plan, write, test, review, and document infrastructure code, pipelines, scripts, and runbooks.
-
Write clear specifications, direct the agents, and verify the result before it reaches production.
-
Invest in instructions, tools, and guardrails that make AI-assisted work reliable and safe.
-
Handle sensitive data, credentials, and secrets under data-protection rules.
-
Ensure every change gets human review, regardless of the source.
Day to day tasks:
-
Implement improvements to our automated Dev Ops framework using AI agents.
-
Improve and maintain build environments across multiple platforms.
-
Collaborate with developers on ways to continuously improve infrastructure.

Detect, troubleshoot, and help resolve production issues using AI assistance.
-
Help ensure that our systems meet general security standards.
-
Facilitate backup and restoration of our systems.
-
Review merge requests for correctness, security, blast radius, and maintainability.
-
Improve the instructions and tooling our agents rely on.
-
Use AI to reduce toil and keep documentation current.
-
Help engineering teams adopt AI tooling safely.
-
Help decide which technologies and processes we use.
