[Hiring] Python DevOps Engineer @Computer Task Group, Inc

Role Description

CTG is seeking a Python DevOps Engineer for a remote contract opportunity. This role will support EDA initiatives by developing Python-based solutions, building APIs, and supporting cloud-native applications within AWS environments.

• Develop and maintain Python applications and automation solutions.
• Build and support APIs using FastAPI.
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
• Support containerized applications using Kubernetes and AWS EKS.
• Work with PostgreSQL and Snowflake environments to support data-driven applications.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Assist with DevOps automation, deployment processes, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Support analytics and statistical computing environments utilizing SPSS, SAS, and R.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience with FastAPI and REST API development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, AWS EKS, and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and application deployment.
• Familiarity with analytics and statistical tools including SPSS, SAS, and R.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Python development, DevOps engineering, cloud engineering, or a related technical role.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications and cloud environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

• The expected base salary for this position ranges from $60.00 to $65.00/hour.
• Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
