Role Description
I'm looking for a Platform Engineer II to support day-to-day operations of our AWS infrastructure and help us drive meaningful improvements to observability and stability as we grow. This is a collaborative, hands-on role.
-
Own day-to-day operations and maintenance of our AWS environment, including EKS cluster management, EC2, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, S3, and IAM.
-
Manage deployments of new features and fixes, coordinating with application teams through structured intake and ad hoc request processes.
-
Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules, Helm charts, and CI/CD pipeline templates (GitLab CI) that enforce organizational standards for scalability, compliance, and observability.
-
Diagnose cross-cutting infrastructure issues β networking misconfigurations, IAM permission boundaries, Kubernetes scheduling failures β evaluating blast radius and downstream impact before proposing solutions.
-
Partner with application teams to translate platform changes and new standards into clear, actionable guidance that reduces friction across the organization.
-
Drive improvements to environment observability and stability using Datadog, and participate in on-call rotation with full production ownership.
Qualifications
-
3+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering.
-
Strong proficiency in Linux administration in production environments, including RHEL-based system management.
-
Proven hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred), Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or comparable tooling.
-
Experience deploying and managing infrastructure in AWS.
-
Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to translate platform changes into clear guidance for application teams.
Requirements
-
Experience with configuration management and automation tooling (Ansible, AWX, and Packer) is a plus.
-
Familiarity with Python or shell scripting for operational tooling, or experience with Datadog or a comparable observability platform is a plus.
-
Exposure to AWS Bedrock or AI agent development in an infrastructure context is a plus.
Benefits
-
This role is not eligible for sponsorship at this time.
