Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Linux/Unix Systems Engineer – Automation & Migration to support a critical transformation project involving migration from Oracle Database to SAP HANA and modernization of legacy automation systems using SAP Automation Pilot.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand existing Unix/Linux-based automation workflows
• Review and interpret complex shell scripts and legacy batch jobs (e.g., Autosys)
• Assist in migration of database processes from Oracle to SAP HANA
• Translate legacy automation logic into SAP Automation Pilot workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration and automation
• Identify opportunities to optimize and modernize legacy processes
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability during transition

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux systems
• Deep expertise in Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn Shell)
• Proven experience analyzing complex shell scripts
• Experience with legacy job schedulers (e.g., Autosys)
• Understanding of automation frameworks and batch processing systems
• Ability to work in US shift and remote environment

Good to Have Skills

• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Exposure to SAP HANA
• Experience with SAP Automation Pilot
• Background in automation or system integration projects
