[Hiring] Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud & DevOps) @Computer Task Group, Inc

Role Description

CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud & DevOps) opening for our premier client.

An Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for providing 24/7 technical support for cloud-based solutions, ensuring seamless operations across various applications, DevOps, middleware, security, and infrastructure components. Key responsibilities include:

• Building & setting up new development tools, infrastructure, and networking.
• Maintaining and deploying cloud applications.
• Developing and configuring infrastructure and configuration as code (Ansible and Terraform).
• Administering Dev, Test & Production environments hosted on Windows, Linux, and Unix servers.
• Managing load balancing and CDN options provided by multiple cloud vendors (e.g., Load balancer and Application gateway in Azure).
• Installing and configuring MYSQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and other databases.
• Ensuring systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Identifying and fixing technical problems and installing software updates.
• Supporting the installation and maintenance of a logging cluster using Logstash, ElasticSearch, and Kibana.
• Identifying and resolving issues involving APIs, application services, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, microservices, containers, Kubernetes nodes, ICP management, middleware components, network, security, and infrastructure problems.
• Escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate support level.
• Managing Application ID and providing cloud elasticity by auto-scaling resources based on business requirements.
• Ensuring DR and manual redundancy failover capabilities.
• Providing regular service management reports to keep clients informed.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and Integrated Service Level Management.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cloud application architecture.
• Proficient in administration of Dev, Test & Production environments.
• Strong knowledge of load balancing and CDN options.
• Experience with databases such as MYSQL, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL.

Requirements

• 24/7 availability for technical support.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Experience with configuration as code tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.
