Role Description

This role involves building best practices from the ground up and leading the team in avoiding established mistakes.

Build a roadmap to delivering scalable infrastructure and site reliability engineering.
Establish best practices to achieve operational excellence in infrastructure security, availability, resiliency, sustainability, and adoption.

Qualifications

At least 8 years of experience in Infrastructure, site reliability engineering, and/or developer tools teams.
3 years managing teams.
Experience in building secure, highly available AWS infrastructure.
Familiarity with on-prem Data Center infrastructure operations/setup.
High level of ownership, bias for action, and a desire to empower individuals on the team.
Strong familiarity with distributed computing, networks, databases, caches, data streaming technologies in cloud environments.
Hands-on experience in provisioning infrastructure and managing infrastructure via IaC tools (i.e. Terraform, CDK, Pulumi, CloudFormation, etc).
Track record of delivering scalable and innovative solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technologies for observability, incident-response, cloud, and infrastructure management.

Requirements

Experience working with data scientists to deploy complex ML models to public cloud and build low latency inference systems to a production environment.
Experience leading a team in a remote-first and fast-paced environment.
Experience working in highly regulated industries.
