Role Description

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation. Your responsibilities will include:

• Migrating applications from on-prem to GCP
• Monitoring web applications
• Automating daily tasks
• Maintaining the production environment

You will collaborate closely with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure our systems are highly available, secure, and efficient.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar
• Proven experience as a DevOps / Engineering Team Lead, including team mentoring, technical decision-making, workload prioritization, and cross-team coordination
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure, with a preference for GCP)
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration and management
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Terragrunt
• Proven experience building and optimizing observability stacks with Prometheus and Grafana, including metrics design, alerting strategies, and dashboarding
• Strong knowledge of Docker for containerization
• A strong commitment to best practices and ensuring the high security of designed solutions

Requirements

• Hands-on experience migrating applications and infrastructure from on-premises environments to Google Cloud Platform (or other cloud provider)
• Skilled in designing secure, scalable, and cost-efficient GCP architectures using infrastructure as code, containerization, and managed services
• Capable of defining and executing migration strategies with minimal operational disruption
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex systems, troubleshoot critical issues, and implement scalable solutions
• Experience in sharing best practices, and driving key DevOps projects through hands-on technical contributions
• Proven ability to streamline daily operations by developing automation scripts, refining CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing cloud infrastructure to enhance system reliability and team productivity
• Strong communication skills to engage with engineering teams and stakeholders across the organization
• Ability to work across disciplines to align infrastructure and deployment strategies, ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence
• Skilled at addressing complex and unclear technical challenges
• Capable of analyzing issues, defining objectives and success metrics, and crafting efficient, practical solutions to meet project goals
