Role Description
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer. In this role, you will help build and maintain a robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure. You will work closely with development teams to optimize software delivery, automate processes, and ensure the reliability and security of our systems.
You will be working in an engineering-oriented fast-paced environment, with minimal management and detailed task definition. You need to be a self-starter and excel at making your own decisions and organizing your work according to the declared goals.
This is a remote position - Indochina Time (ICT)
- Infrastructure Automation: Build and maintain automation scripts and tools to provision, configure, and manage infrastructure resources (e.g., servers, networks, databases).
- CI/CD Pipelines: Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Set up monitoring tools to track system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Security: Ensure the security of our systems by implementing security best practices and using security tools, including the PCI environment operation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand their needs and provide solutions to improve the software delivery process.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and application performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve our processes and tools to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Participate in on-call incident escalation rotations (office hours only, when you are on your rotation, it will be one week per person).
Qualifications
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a DevOps or in a similar role focused on software quality assurance.
- Proven experience with Linux and cloud computing technologies such as AWS or other cloud computing environments.
- Demonstrable scripting experience with a variety of scripting languages for automating tasks, generating reports and creating tools (e.g. Go, Java, Python, Shell).
- Experience with HTTP based services, networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS).
- Familiarity with database technology: NoSQL/SQL (Redis, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with a continuously delivery model of deploying software.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proven history working directly with development teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java (Nice-to-Have).
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English (Nice-to-Have).
- Working at scale (Nice-to-Have).
- Tools, including Terraform, Docker (Nice-to-Have).
- Experience with databases, NoSQL and SQL, such as Redis and PostgreSQL, MongoDB (Nice-to-Have).
- Experience with microservice environments (Nice-to-Have).
- Passion for gaming (Nice-to-Have).
