Role Description

LumiMeds is hiring a video editor to cut short-form video across three streams:

  • Educational content from our licensed healthcare creators
  • UGC from real customers and paid creators
  • Paid social ads

You'll take a clinician's 90-second explanation of how GLP-1s work and make it land. You'll turn a customer's iPhone testimonial into a Meta ad that converts. On spec, on time, and on the right side of compliance.

This is not a generalist editing role. You'll be cutting healthcare content in a tightly regulated category (compounded medications, metabolic health, HRT). Every cut, every overlay, every text card has to be both watchable and compliant. Paid ads in this space get extra scrutiny from Meta, TikTok, and the FTC, so you'll work closely with our social media manager, healthcare creators, and compliance reviewer to make sure everything ships clean.

The right person is fast, opinionated about what makes short-form work, and fluent with modern AI editing tools. You're also detail-oriented enough to catch when a stray B-roll clip, an AI voiceover, or a misplaced caption could create a compliance problem. No healthcare background required (we'll train you), but you do need to care about getting it right.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years editing short-form vertical video for social. Portfolio with current work required
  • Demonstrated experience editing paid social ads (Meta, TikTok, or YouTube) β€” not just organic content
  • Strong fluency in at least one of: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut Pro
  • Working knowledge of AI editing tools: Descript or similar transcript-based editing, AI captioning, AI audio cleanup
  • Comfort cutting UGC: taking imperfect, multi-source footage and making it work
  • Captioning skills that go beyond auto-generated: accurate, well-timed, well-styled, readable on mute
  • Genuine taste for what makes short-form work: pacing, hooks, retention, when to cut, when to let a beat breathe
  • Willingness to learn FDA marketing compliance basics as they apply to compounded medications and paid health advertising

Requirements

  • Direct experience editing paid DTC ads in healthcare, wellness, supplements, telehealth, or other regulated, performance-driven categories
  • Familiarity with the visual language differences between educational, UGC, and ad content
  • Experience producing ad variant trees for systematic creative testing
  • Experience working with a brand kit and maintaining visual consistency across many cuts
  • Motion graphics chops: clean text animations, simple lower thirds, callout treatments
  • Comfort with audio cleanup (noise reduction, leveling, music ducking)
  • Experience using AI tools responsibly in regulated contexts
  • Working knowledge of Meta, TikTok, and YouTube ad creative specs and policy

Why This Role Exists

LumiMeds runs three video streams that all live or die on the same craft: educational content that earns trust, UGC that proves real people use the product, and paid ads that bring new patients in the door. They look different, they perform on different metrics, and they each have their own compliance traps. We need one editor who can move between all three without losing the plot.

AI tools have made parts of this faster than ever. They've also made it easier than ever to ship something polished, plausible, and quietly wrong β€” especially in paid ads. We need someone who can use modern tools to move fast, and never let the polish drift into territory that compromises the brand, the creators we work with, or the audience's trust.
