Product: Occibo (occibo dot com) is a self-service, AI-powered platform that helps solo children’s book creators go from raw manuscript to print-ready and upload-ready books, with guided editing, instant illustration options, and production-safe layouts. We are building a clean, artistic, high conversion web experience that makes book creation feel fast, simple, and premium, without needing external editors, illustrators, or designers.

This is an UNPAID internship.

Start: ASAP if possible

Duration: 3 to 6 months

Tasks

• Collaborate with our engineering team to brainstorm and create user-friendly interfaces.
• Assist in conducting user research and usability testing to gather feedback.
• Help design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for web SaaS UI.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving user experience.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of design documentation and assets.

Requirements

• Enthusiasm for UX/UI design and a keen eye for detail.
• Good to have AI tooling knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of design tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with the team.
• Currently enrolled in a relevant study program or similar educational background.

IndieKidz is a young Berlin-based startup building meaningful learning experiences for children. We create screen-free books, magazines, and activities that blend early learning with cultural roots. Alongside this, we are building Occibo (occibo [.] com), a modern platform for authors and publishers. Occibo uses AI-assisted workflows to simplify children’s book creation. Together, we combine creativity, technology, and real publishing needs. Our goal is to make high-quality children’s content easier to create and joyful to use.
