[Hiring] UI/UX Designer @PSC Biotech

Role Description

The UI/UX Designer is responsible for working with internal stakeholders, product managers, developers, and end-users to translate requirements and improve UX solutions through various design methods. This position plays a critical role in the design of our proprietary products and focuses on providing solutions to complicated problems.

• Work with product managers and end-users to define product functionality and translate specs into wireframe prototypes.
• Design clear conceptual work that demonstrates UX flow and use-case scenarios.
• Create user stories to ensure developers understand the business case and build optimal features.
• Present features to end users, collect feedback, and make adjustments as necessary.
• Design graphical solutions for various media types (print, web, mobile, email, etc.).
• Participate in development meetings to drive product vision.
• Perform other design-related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field to include computer design, graphic arts, visual arts, or related degree.
• 2+ years of experience in web application design.
• Expert at working with design software (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite), including proficiency in advanced functions (vectors and compositing).
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of best practices in UI and UX design.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while providing creative and high-quality solutions.
• Must have an outstanding portfolio with innovative and creative yet functional designs.
• Must have experience creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
• Exceptional visual design skills while prioritizing optimal user-system interaction.
• Naturally organized, able to work autonomously, with the ability to quickly reprioritize projects in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• High attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Strong level of initiative and flexibility.
• Must be able to communicate technical components of an initiative effectively in both technical and business terms.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• Ability to work within the U.S PST timezone.
