Role Description
This role involves shaping the user experience of our digital products and services as a UI/UX Designer.
- Create visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive user interfaces for web and mobile applications that align with Orvix Engineering's brand and design principles.
- Conduct thorough user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
- Translate insights into intuitive user experiences that improve overall satisfaction and usability.
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas and demonstrate user flow and functionality.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility, alignment with project goals, and adherence to timelines.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive design system, ensuring consistency across all digital touchpoints and platforms.
- Plan and conduct usability tests to gather feedback on prototypes and live products, iterating on designs to enhance usability and user satisfaction.
- Ensure that design solutions are aligned with Orvix Engineering's brand identity and uphold high-quality visual design standards.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless implementation of designs, focusing on performance optimization and responsive design across various devices and screen sizes.
- Produce clear and detailed design specifications, assets, and guidelines to support developers and ensure smooth handoffs throughout the development lifecycle.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and best practices, incorporating new techniques and ideas into your workflow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI (Human-Computer Interaction), or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in both UI and UX design principles.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
- Experience with prototyping tools like InVision, Marvel, or Principle.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design processes and best practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and responsive web design is a plus.
- Experience in the engineering or technical industry is preferred but not required.
