Role Description

• Analyze features and wireframes to create clear, accurate, and actionable implementation tasks.
• Identify technical dependencies, risks, and gaps during the planning and development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain user interfaces using Unreal Editor, Widget Blueprints, and Blueprint scripting.
• Design and implement reusable UI frameworks and component-based architectures that can evolve with changing requirements.
• Build and maintain data-driven UI systems using ViewModels and view bindings.
• Collaborate with UI Engineers to ensure seamless integration between UI presentation layers and application logic.
• Deliver user experiences that support multiple screen sizes, safe areas, localization requirements, and accessibility standards.
• Monitor, profile, and optimize UI performance and memory consumption across supported platforms.
• Evaluate and improve the efficiency of UMG, Slate, C++, and texture memory utilization.
• Work closely with UX, UI Art, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality user experiences.
• Contribute to process improvements, development pipelines, technical documentation, and team best practices.
• Provide constructive feedback and actively participate in collaborative design and development discussions.

Qualifications

• Experience translating features, wireframes, and design concepts into clearly scoped development tasks, identifying dependencies, risks, and unknowns early in the process.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining user interfaces using Unreal Editor and Widget Blueprints.
• Proficiency in Blueprint scripting for UI logic implementation and functionality development.
• Experience designing and architecting scalable, reusable, and maintainable UI component systems.
• Strong understanding of data-driven UI development, including ViewModels and view binding patterns.
• Experience collaborating closely with UI Engineering teams to integrate front-end systems with underlying data models.
• Knowledge of responsive UI design principles across multiple screen sizes, resolutions, and safe areas.
• Experience implementing localization-ready and accessibility-compliant user interfaces.
• Understanding of UI performance optimization, memory management, and profiling within Unreal Engine.
• Ability to analyze and optimize the performance impact of UMG, Slate, C++, and texture memory usage.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and feedback skills when working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience contributing to documentation, workflows, and development pipeline improvements.
• Flexible across time zones with availability for team and feature-related meetings, typically held during U.S. East Coast afternoons.

Requirements

• Experience supporting and enhancing UI development pipelines and production workflows.
• Familiarity with technical UI architecture best practices for large-scale interactive applications or games.
• Experience mentoring team members and promoting UI development standards.
• Knowledge of modern UX/UI implementation methodologies and design systems.
