Role Description
Kaseya is seeking a Staff UI Engineer to build polished, high-performance user experiences leveraging our Unified Data Platform, Analytics, Portal, and BI capabilities. You’ll work on customer-facing web applications and embedded analytics experiences—turning complex data workflows into intuitive, fast, and reliable interfaces. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver UI features that scale across the Kaseya platform.
Key Responsibilities
-
Build and maintain modern web UIs for analytics, portal, and BI experiences using a component-driven approach.
-
Partner with product and design to translate requirements into accessible, responsive, and elegant interfaces.
-
Develop robust state management patterns for complex workflows and data-heavy screens.
-
Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL, ensuring correctness and great UX under real-world conditions.
-
Establish and evolve design system components (reusable UI primitives, patterns, and documentation).
-
Drive UI performance engineering: profiling, optimizing render paths, reducing bundle size, improving perceived performance, and ensuring smooth interaction.
-
Write high-quality, testable, maintainable code; participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
-
Mentor engineers and help raise the bar on front-end standards, tooling, and best practices.
Qualifications
-
8+ years professional experience building production web applications (or equivalent depth of experience).
-
Strong proficiency with TypeScript/JavaScript.
-
Deep experience with one or more modern frameworks: React, Vue, or Angular.
-
Experience with state management libraries such as Redux (including Toolkit), Recoil, or Zustand.
-
Working knowledge of API integration patterns including REST, GraphQL, and async interfaces.
-
Strong CSS skills, including Tailwind and/or design systems (component libraries, tokens, theming).
-
Demonstrated expertise in UI performance engineering including profiling and optimization.
-
Clear communicator who can align engineers, designers, and product stakeholders.
-
Passion for craftsmanship, performance, and user experience—backed by engineering discipline.
Nice to Have
-
Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+), semantic HTML, and inclusive UI patterns.
-
Strong product design instincts: layout, typography, color theory, and interaction design fundamentals.
-
Experience with WebAssembly (WASM) for performance-sensitive use cases.
-
Experience collaborating with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
Outcomes
-
Users experience fast, intuitive, and reliable interfaces—even on data-heavy pages.
-
UI components are reusable, consistent, and aligned with an evolving design system.
-
Performance and quality are measured and improved continuously (not “best effort”).
-
Cross-functional teams ship features smoothly because the UI architecture is clean and scalable.
